Biltaji discusses the BRT with the French Ambassador

 


The Mayor of Greater Amman Mr Akel Biltaji and French Ambassador Caroline Dumas , discuss during a meeting in his office on ways to enhance cooperation between the cities of Amman and Paris.

Biltaji praised the depth of bilateral relations, which combine the cities of Amman and Paris, pointing to a street bears the name of His Majesty the late King Hussein in the city of Paris, in addition to the name of the Paris Square in Jebel Elweibdeh.

Biltaji briefed the ambassador about the work plans and the development of the city , through the concern for the environment and the organization works and human resources and enhancing the financial resources .

During the meeting, The pending issues of the Rapid Bus project BRT, funded by the French Agency for Development (AFD), were discussed.

On October 1st 2013, the Regional Cooperation Attaché for Justice, Mr Patrick Lopez-Terres, offered on behalf of the Embassy of France in Amman copies of the first Arabic translation of the French Civil Code to Mr Hisham TAL, President of the Supreme Court and the High Judicial Council of Jordan.

The gift of these works is a token of esteem and friendship given by France to the Jordanian Judiciary and reminds the close relationship that unites the legal and judicial systems of both countries, the heirs of "Code Napoleon".
